Mid-November Update!
Hello everyone!
I am currently writing this Mid-monthly report since my Subscription will be running out tomorrow

I probably will not be re-subscribing until the next con season comes about since I probably will not have too much to update about in the following 2 months.

There were a few things I wanted to put out there before the fanciness went away for a little while XD.

Here goes! *pulls out the manuscript*

Vincent Valentine is officially delayed for an undetermined period of time. I was looking over my budget and cosplay priorities for the next few months and there is no way I could fit him in there.

I am currently focusing all my cosplay-budget onto Lelouch as a priority due to having a group waiting for me and expecting me to do the best I can for when we premiere our Code Geass group in February at Con-G in Guelph, Ontario (all should come! *end cheesy plug here* )

I will be teaming up with as my wonderful C.C. and Iridescent_Fall (cosplay.com) as Kouzuki Kallen. Both of my partners are currently working on theirs while Zero is lacking behind so I need to swift-kick myself in the rear-end to get working on that. I've spent this entire morning adding up reference shots for Zero's cape to use for when I work on his cape.

I already have all the materials sitting on my couch for the past month but laziness has taken over and I will not allow myself to half-ass the costume I am currently looking forward to the most at this time.

The Geass contact lens was ordered last night :3 It put a dent in my wallet but you know what, it'll be worth it! I already own the purple contacts for the other, they've been sitting in my wardrobe for a few weeks now.

For those of you who are wondering what the contact will look like, here is a picture of a cosplayer who has already purchased the same contact that I have.


Jail Viral is currently still on-going and will be on-time for an Anime North 2010 Premiere. All my efforts will be converted onto him once Zero is finished. I need to retouch the wig and modify the hands and then move on to working on the Jail outfit + shackles.

Team Dai-Gurren will have more members than it did last year and we will be much, much better than we were in 2009!



Birthday
This past week has been quite a roller coaster ride. November 10th was my birthday and I traveled to Toronto to celebrate with everyone in our cosplay group. The weekend was filled with wonderful memories as we were all united together throughout the entire weekend.

It's a very rare time for all of us to be at the same place outside of Convention times so it was definitely something special.

Misc. Anime/Manga/Games section
[Soul Eater - Manga]
I've finally finished catching to Soul Eater's manga. I'm up to date to the latest Chapter after having read through the entire series. All I've got to say is the Manga is just SO MUCH better.. The show was great but the manga just blows it out of the skies! I won't be revealing too many spoilers (or any?) on here but some of the characters i've liked before during the show; i've gotten to fall in love with thanks to the manga. *cough*Medusa*cough*.

The Volumes finally started coming out in retail stores here and I am seriously considering putting some money aside and picking up the volumes when they are released.

[Dissidia: Final Fantasy]
It took me a while to hook on this one. Especially since I would only play on the metro ride to work (and back) during weekdays. I finally managed to beat the last boss with Zidane after raging at my PSP countless times due to that frigging sword beam attack that Juggles you.

But I kept coming back, getting thrown to the ground and getting back up. I refuse to lose to this game, lol. In the end, I ended up beating the final boss (all 3 rounds of him) without getting hit once.

Duel Colosseum is a VERY ADDICTING mode. I've found myself endlessly grinding my way to Lvl.100 with Zidane to obtain components I'll need to optimize his gear... And shortly after that.. Farming for other characters that are still level 1, lolol..

I'm going to be finishing all the Cosmos crystals some time soon so I can unlock the Chaos storylines and play as the Badguys to eventually Unlock Judge Gabranth

I'm currently slowly grinding levels with Shanttoto. She's weird to play as but I loved her back in the days where I played Final Fantasy XI so it's worth the trouble

[Final Fantasy XIII]
Ok so, Square-Enix announced the official release date for FFXIII this Friday. The game looks absolutely amazing and having played the demo - I was very satisfied about the new battle system.

Seeing as it was a demo, the amount of abilities available were limited but I can see this new system before very fun to play with when the game comes out!

Definitely a must buy and will undoubtedly be a contender for best game of 2010 in my book. We'll just have to see if Blizzard makes me bump it off its throne when Starcraft II - Wings of Liberty comes out

[Code Geass]
To obtain more references for Zero/Lelouch - i've found myself sitting through Season 2 of Code Geass once more recently. I find myself noticing little things every episode that I hadn't caught on to during my first sitting of the series.

Makes me enjoy the series more

[Square-Enix games]
As some of you know, I work for a branch of Square-Enix. I've ordered myself a ton of games recently and they are about to arrive straight from Japan. I really need to find myself some time (and motivation) to go through all of these when I get them.

Most (if not all) are RPGs so I will have ALOT of content in my hands to go through for a long, long time. Some classics that I had not had the chance to go through (unless it was for a few days as a rental) such as Valkyrie Profile: Lenneth, Dragon Quest on DS, etc.

I'll have to dust off my PS2 as well since I ordered myself a new copy of FFX (loved that game) along with FFX-2 and Dirge of Cerberus.

I just need to make sure I don't allow myself to jump into these "worlds" before finishing my costumes, lol.
