How do you even imagine that would work? And now, of course, people start crying that their computers got infected with malware. Which is great - every genius who fell for this obvious phishing scam deserved it. I hope your shitty computer burns and you along with it.

Opinions are a Dangerous thing: Art StylesThis isn't about narking on anyone no, infact this is just my own muses really! You could say this is a journal for ENCOURAGEMENT! *SHINES*
I find sticking to one style restrictive if you are a beginning/moderate artist! (even professionals I might say! though I can't speak for everyone)
Having a distinctive look on how your art is done and produced is understandable and its a desire to appear unique to the point some one can just SEE your work and instantly think 'Oh! that's Ten-days!' or something along the line. However, when you are trying to find who you are and what kind of art you are to produce, I recommend trying, well, a lot of different things! Different styles, mixing styles, different colouring techinque, brushes, tools, shading. Don't feel dependant on what you are already doing and don't feel pressured by people just for trying new things!
Push out of your comfort zone. Can't draw hands? don't avoid it! draw the heck out of them! (how else are you going to learn?)

2012, 2013, Gaming, New beginnings

Hello!
I've been MIA for a while now on DA since there has been no productivity in terms of cosplay for me up until this past weekend. Life has been consisting mainly of work, little sleep and League of Legends for the last little while ^^'

Before anything, although it is a little late (it seems to be an on-going thing for a few of us this year), i'd like to say Happy New Year to everyone and hope they all had a happy and safe Holiday Season with their loved ones.

2012 was a pretty hectic year on my end, that's for sure and I am glad that it is finally over with. Cosplay-wise it was a pretty fun but slightly dissapointing year in some ways.

Mephisto (Regular outfit) and Matsuri Mephisto were my only two new projects, however it was a great time wearing it with

's Amaimon

The main out fit needs a few pretty big modifications and additions to be up to my personal liking but the results and reactions were very much appreciated throughout the summer. As for the disappointing parts of the year, well there was the poor dating choices for Otakon and Otakuthon being only a few days apart which prevented some people from going to both, including my Amaimon

A few conventions had to be Canceled on my end during 2012 due to their cost or timing. Youmacon being one that I was sad to cancel. Was not able to see everyone from the Eastern and Central areas that gather for this con. WE WILL BE TOGETHER AGAIN, EVENTUALLY!

Work took a toll throughout the summer leading into late Fall, which has kept me busy and short on personal time / energy to do anything other than collapse and Snorlax away in my free time.

Things are finally starting to ease down and the Winter Holiday Vacation was a much, much appreciated time when it arrived.

Also a Highlight of 2012.. Sword Art Online. I could go on for a long time about this series but it has connected with me on many, many levels.

2013,
The new year has started only little over a week ago and plans are still brewing in terms of cosplay. As mentionned above, i've begun scouting here and there for proper materials to start working on one of the bigger projects for the upcoming year, however the material I am currently looking for is key for this cosplay. Without it, no real progress can be done.

Current ideas for 2013
Klein - Sword Art Online (SAO, real life, ALO) **decision pending**
Reshiram - Pokemon B/W
Emperor Lelouch - Code Geass

None of these can even be considered small projects and hopefully I will be able to squeeze as many out as I can but it will take time and also funds, haha.

Klein will able to have a comfortable version, at least due to his two real life versions that can be seen in Episode 1 and 25 respectively (hopefully no spoilers to anyone). Sadly, I fear that the amount of SAO cosplays this year will be overwhelming in all cons but I cannot skip out on this. I've been wanting to start working on Klein since the first episodes of the series but had no time to do so. Or funds for that matter~

There is an upcoming Convention in the Gatineau/Ottawa area in a few weeks and I should be present. A few friends will be in town for this upcoming convention so I will be doing my best to be present as well. Not sure about if I will be cosplaying or not (I didn't last year) but I should be present

Gaming wise, I've been getting really pumped for the Ragnarok Online 2 open beta as well as the upcoming re-release of Final Fantasy XIV - A Realm Reborn. Other than this, League of Legends has been my go-to game for the last little while.

Anime wise, I've started watching a few new series after SAO came to its end. I was recommended Psycho-Pass by *the-mirror-melts and was pleasantly surprised. This series has been a really solid and interesting series so far. Other than that, I've caught up to Btoooom! and started watching Code : Breaker lately. Slow going through that one. If there are any good series, feel free to comment and leave a suggestion

As for New Beginnings.. I think it's time to start anew on many things so 2013 will be the chance and time to take a few steps forward from 2012.

I think that's about it for this Journal. I wanted to keep it short but started rambling.. again.
